Flushing is a small village that directly faces Falmouth from its position across the Penryn River. It is the warmest village in the UK as a result of its sheltered South facing aspect.
The village is in a perfect position to be accessed both by boat if you are in Falmouth, or, from Prospect House and Penryn itself there is a beautiful coastal walk to Flushing, which will take you roughly an hour.
You can continue from Flushing past a rarely visited quiet beach around Trefusis Point all the way to Mylor Harbour.
One of the major highlights of the year in Flushing is the annual Flushing Sailing Regatta, which takes place from Flushing Sailing Club, with fun day events on both the land and the water for the whole family to enjoy.
