St Michael’s Mount
The Mount, as it is known by locals, is a small island that at low tide can be reached by its famous causeway.
Sitting atop the island is the castle which is the official residence of Lord St Levan. The castle is home to many objects of great historical importance, including armour and antique furniture.
St Michael’s mount is operated by the National Trust and is open to visitors from the 28th of March to the 31st of October.
Its nearest town is Marazion which can be reached by first travelling to Penzance by train and then by bus to Marazion.
